Forum: opensource_movies Subject: ADMINS: Corrupted upload?

Hey

Apparently my latest upload (HowAboutAPercolator.mpg) was corrupted during my upload. The original MPEG works fine on Mac and PC. So I went to its Program Details page and reported the situation (on the “Report Errors” form), and that I would like to repost the file.

Is that all I need to do? I realize I'll probably have to re-input the details again. I assume that I’ll receive word (through the forum?) that your side is ready to receive a replacement file.

Sorry; technical issues have been flaring up on me the past couple of days.

thanks
L

Hey there,

Just upload and import the movie again from scratch with a different directory name, and everything should be fine. This probably explains why no thumbnails and derivatives were made from that item - I was scratching my head about that.

Regards,
Simon.

OK,

Have just re-uploaded the file in a directory named HowAbout. Have re-entered the description etc too.

Just wondering if the original "Program Details" page from my first attempt will be deleted?

THANKS!
L
